SUSTAINABILITY

At Suffolk Country Retreats we are actively trying to becoming more sustainable and we are proud to be doing our bit for the environment. 

1. When you stay with us we keep you warm with our well insulated roof/walls, therefore reducing energy consumption 
2. We recommend sustainable travel, you can find a list of local dog walking routes, cyclist paths and more on our local area page. Unfortunately, public transport is not available in our village. 
3. We support local food producers by including products from Browns Butchers, Suffolk Coffee Company, Milk and More (milk, cream and butter) and seasonal delights from Goodies Farmshop in our welcome basket. Making sure our guests know about local shops and resturants they can reach in local villages is important to us to also help small businesses. 
4. We supply Who Gives a Crap toilet rolls and CowShed products. 
5. All cleaning products used are eco-friendly 
6. We provide a ‘heated clothes airer’ rather than a tumble drier, and also a standard airer (for dog towels, wetsuits etc...) in the boiler room, so that our guests can help us to save energy
